So, I’m Basically the age now that when I tell people my age, they say you look amazing (for your age). Or the really EXTRA folks, do the “I don’t believe it” thing. “Let me see some ID” thing, or my favorite…. “I thought you were in your 20s” thing. SMH
Uh thanks, I didn’t realize early 30s was the point in which you’re supposed to start looking “older”. Shouldn’t it be based on the regiments and routines you have cultivated in your 20s or better yet how I feel inside?? I definitely feel more like a teenager internally.
Anywho, I see getting older as a true gift, NOW. I’m the best version of myself now than I was 5 or 10 years ago the best part is that, I’m still growing and learning. So much to experience in life, it makes me excited for the future. I am learning that it takes discipline to achieve the things you want. A big part of learning discipline for me, started with my health journey.
I got serious about my health… my overall health. Mental, physical, and spiritual every facet of myself I wanted to train to be better. In some areas I had to become a fanatic, I truly had to become obsessed to get serious about my health. If you are like me, that’s okay. I had to realize that I was going to HAVE to work a little bit…or should I say a lot of bit, to reach the goals I want. My mother instilled an amazing work ethic in me, so I matched that with my determination for results. Just a regular gal from Texas with a drive for more.
I large portion of me getting “serious” about my health, is incorporating routines. One routine that I have done almost every morning for the past 5 years, is drinking a lemon water concoction upon waking up. Everyday, I stretch and say my positive affirmations and I head to the kitchen to make that warm nectar that gives me LIFE (LOL). I will share the specifics of my concoction and it’s benefits in one of my next few blogs ;). Scouts honor…fun fact about me….. I use to be a girl scout, back in grade school of course. Might be one for Halloween this year though 🙂 But I will tell yo this about drinking lemon juice everyday…. rarely to NEVER get sick…heyyyy. THAT’S WHAT I CALL A HUGE BENEFIT!
I want to share the tips and tricks I have learned along the way in my journey to total health, transformative, complex, the ups and downs, trial by error. These are the things that have worked for me and could potentially assist you on your personal journey. I’m excited to share my workouts, routines, and fun sporting activities that I discover. A little bit more about me ……I am nature wanderer who enjoys camping, hiking, rafting, cycling, basically anything outdoors I’ll try it. My qualifications include a certified cycling instructor and Burn (HIIT)/ kickboxing instructor. Most importantly I’m a regular hippie chic that decided to get serious about her health/life
