IS CEREAL HEALTHY?
This is not an important question for everyone I guess. But if you are a person like me who is looking to take every advantage on being healthy and losing weight than you definitely want to ask the question Is Cereal Healthy? I had heard here and there that cereal was not good for you but I never really researched it before until now.
So I have set out to answer that question for people like you and I!
CEREAL IS NOT QUITE BAD FOR YOU BUTTTT
So what I have found is cereal is not quite bad for you. BUTTTT. But is one of biggest words in the dictionary. If you want to be at peak health it is not quite what you want to consume on a daily basis or in my opinion at all. I have gone cold turkey the last 7 or so days with the help of my Herbalife Meal Replacement in the morning!!!!
I am replacing cereal with fruit and vegetables as well. Yes have a salad for breakfast if you like. Change the game.

WATCH YOUR PORTION SIZES OF CEREAL: READ LABELS
Another great point made by this CNN Article in January of this year . Is if you are going to eat cereal. Watch your portion sizes. This article is a lot more friendly to cereal while also pointing out the sugary pitfalls that one might come across with cereal.
But remember that the portion sizes on the labels of cereal are often times in cup sizes. Which are not that big. So if it says that it has 6 grams of sugar in it the cereal. Which is par for ” Good Cereals” . Than if you hare having 2 or 3 cups of it for breakfast as I am sure I was guilty of plenty of time. It is very likely you have already eaten in obvious sugar and hidden sugars in cereal half your daily allotment of sugar which is about 25 grams for females and and 37.5 per day for men. Or if at least something close to it.
So portion sizes are very important along with reading labels.
OLD HEALTH HABITS ARE HARD TO BREAK BUT THEY MUST
We know that old habits are hard to break but they must!!! Even though I had heard this a few times before here and there I have never actually taking the time to do the research for myself. I think cereal has been such a powerful and basic staple of my life for so long now that I am 39 I am wondering how could it be that bad?
But as I have grown in life you learn that you must question many things that you thought were good and throw them out of the window. Sometimes to embrace things that you thought were bad.
700 CLUB HEALTH SEGMENT PUSHED ME INTO INVESTIGATION
Well I was watching the 700 club the other day and every now and then they give information about health and nutrition. There was a lady who mentioned how there are hidden sugars in cereals. Even the ones we think are low in sugar content.
So I said wow… I eat cereal everyday and I stay away from the bad stuff. But what if I am still defeating my health and wellness journey from jump when I eat breakfast in the morning?
For a while I had been looking for healthy options for breakfast but I was just too busy in life and I did not think it was that big of an issue. While in the back of my mind I was saying we need to find a better way to start our day other than cereal.
